Tues Aug 8: Tucked up at Wright’s Marina

Today we stayed at Wright’s to avoid big winds on Lake Huron and the Georgian Bay. There may have been winds out there, but where we were it was a lovely, sunny day.  The only danger was constant waking from the little boats zipping by.  Apparently we are the only boats who respect the NO WAKE ZONE signs.  🙄😵‍💫

We went for a long walk, and stopped to see what interesting chips there were to be had at the local convenience store.  A hobby of ours!

It may not surprise you to hear these taste EXACTLY like ketchup.  Which is not what we usually want in a chip….but we somehow managed to eat them all!

Notice these are ‘Dangerously Canadian’!!! Lol-what would that even be?! People who are so busy being polite they accidentally walk in front of a car??

In the afternoon Rick went to talk to a couple on a darling little tug, Kismet.  I’ve been obsessing lately about a smaller boat we could travel with, and that’s their thing.  They even use the trailered boat as an RV in RV parks when they travel.  That got my full attention-and Rick’s too!  We are going to look at small boats like tugboat style that can be trailered at the Miami Boat Show when we are in FL in Feb.  That’s where this whole mess….I mean adventure….started!

In the evening we did a puzzle and had shrimp tacos for dinner. Oh, and Rick went Instacart shopping with our dear reader Betty/Mom! Hope the groceries arrived. That’s all we have for today, folks…
