Sat Aug 5: An Adventure in Parry Sound

Rick surprised me with THE COOLEST plan for the morning. A 30-min sea plane ride, so we could see from the air what we have been boating!! When we are on the water it’s literally hard to see the forest for the trees, so it was the BEST idea❣️❣️

This is where we planned to anchor tomorrow-but it’s a long holiday weekend here, so I think we will skip this crowd and go further.

You can see how the glaciers scraped down through this area - everything lines up!

This is an example of how some of the bays will eventually fill in.

Later we biked to get groceries, went for a walk along the waterfront and did laundry.  We have decided to get back on the horse and anchor out tomorrow night… watch this space.

We stopped by to have a chat with the couple who we helped get ‘un-lost’ yesterday.  They had lots of info on Lake Michigan, so that seems like a fair trade. We will see them down the road.

In fact, we will see EVERYONE down the road-here is Nebo, showing boats in the Great Lakes.  Not all these boats are loopers, but not all loopers are on Nebo.  So you can see it will be a bit like Atlanta at rush hour! But now that we are more confident there will be room for everyone, we are having fun seeing who we know every time we arrive at an anchorage or marina.
