We got off the dock around 9am, with Nevadatude right behind us. It was so calm and still as to really mess with depth perception.
There was nothing to show scale, so it was hard to tell if this was a buoy, bird or boat coming toward us (the last one, as it turned out) |
It was hard to tell where the calm water ended and the calm sky began... |
Nevadatude running right behind us, with barely the hint of a wake. |
I got bored with the sky/water thing and started trying to get bird pictures!
We all got settled on to the dock in time to walk over to the Classic Car Show - THE happening event in the sad, wilted little town of Thessalon. I'm not into cars, but even I can see how interesting they are from a design point of view. Next on my list to read is a book called 99% Invisible. It originated as a podcast that talks about the un-noticed role that design plays in our everyday lives. Cool!
Then Rick and I walked out to the lighthouse and Denise/Jerry went to check out the Canadian Legion bar, a favorite hobby of theirs. No matter the time of day...!
We are running out of time in O Canada, and so are trying to make the most of all its icons - like the ubiquitous red Adirondack chairs. The bigger the better! |
Later we got a bit obsessed with the moon - so here you go!
