We said goodbye to Nevadatude-I’m sure we will see them down the road. There aren’t many other Loopers on our route.
We headed to the top of the North Channel, where it leads to Sault Ste Marie and the opening to Lake Superior. It was calm and a perfect temp + the usual picturesque lighthouse.
There weren’t many boats out, even though it was a Sunday. But this guy is over-compensating for something, don’t you think?!
We settled in, all alone, at our Anderson Bay anchorage. There is wind, but also a more sandy bottom and good holding. I planned to swim, but once I saw Rick’s face when he tried to wash his hair, I got over it in a hurry! Not only is the water noticeably colder then when we started out, the air temp is much cooler. Trust me, I’m not complaining. I watch the Atlanta temps and poor Will hasn’t had a day under 90+ since we left.
Speaking of weather, let’s all take a moment to send warm wishes to LA, where Rick’s mom, Betty, is hunkered down for the big storm. Although she is always so put-together I can’t actually imagine her ‘hunkered’. XOXOX
After the predicted wind died down is was smooth as glass. There was a puzzle, reading, research on making pibe needle baskets, fishing…and Rick made the BEST pasta.
That’s it from here-zzzzz
The "big storm" was much ado about nothing for most of us. Enjoy your calm.
