A new (used) boat you say?  Yes, we made it happen so fast that we didn’t even know what we were doing and we have a boat.  Blue Horizon is a 2005, 40’ Mainship Trawler.

The boat is like a RV but on the water.   It has a master and visitor cabin, galley (kitchen), small head (bathroom) and we hope will be a comfortable home away from home.  We are preparing now to travel to the boat this coming Wednesday, Oct 23 for our shakedown cruise from Kent Island, Maryland to Brunswick, GA.

We are outfitting now (which means spending money on stuff).  A new outboard for the dinghy, insurance, engine service, etc....all the sayings are true:  A boat is just a whole in the water where you through your money...and the boat isn’t even in the water!

This new blog will be the record of our voyage(s).  We will post as often as possible to let you know where we are and how we are dealing with life on a boat!
